As a full time, full service golf shop, we offer several different club alterations, shaft spining, shaft planing, flex matching, shaft optimizing, set balancing and MOI club matching. Moment of Inertia (MOI) is a very technical process of altering clubs to present the same swing feel, energy level, far different than balanced, matched or swing weighted clubs.

Our show room will display major club brands and component clubs depending on your golfing needs, but all the clubs will be fitted and adjusted to you. Not only does this afford an opportunity to stay within your club budget, but because we can construct individual clubs as part of a future club set it is possible for you to afford that dream golf set. NOslice Clubs® will work with you on that dream, that club, that set, that goal. Because we live and breathe the game of golf, your game, it’s easy for us to understand you’re not a customer, you’re a golfing friend.

Bring in your current club or club set for testing, we’ll analyze it and explain to you why one club is your favorite and why one club is such a problem. Why not have all the clubs built as favorite clubs? We can do that—Now wouldn’t that be a shot saving set!

Club alterations and repairs—

NOslice Clubs® alters or repairs most golf clubs with capabilities to do the following:

1. Re-grip or measure grip sizing using our large selection of hand grips. We measure and grip in 15 different sizes.
2. Re-shaft almost all clubs
3. Place a sight line on your putter
4. Refurbish irons and woods
5. Sand blast irons and woods
6. Re-blue a gunmetal putter or wedge
7. Reshaft, machine, or alter putters (putters are fitted using our putter launch monitor)
8. Re-plate forged irons
9. Paint score lines on irons or woods
10. Build up or reduce grip size
11. Adjust the lie and loft of irons and putters
12. Change the amount of offset on mallet putters
13. Lengthen or shorten drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons or putter
14. Personalized custom putters

After any adjustment we invite you to try the club on our driving range or golf course (course and driving range must be available)

Our motto is "We’re straight shooters". We mean it! Getting your game straight is what golf is all about. I know from experience that a well hit, straight drive is not only a great confidence builder, but a pressure reliever! If you hit that drive in the fairway, you walk slower to the ball, you know where it is, your heart beats slowly, you remain calm, you know you stand a chance with a good iron shot to be on the green and maybe shoot a birdie or a par!

But!! If the drive doesn’t go straight, maybe under a tree, the next fairway over, a bunker, you walk faster to see the problem, your heart beats faster, your timing becomes to fast for the iron shot, you’re in the next fairway and other golfers are looking at you. You don’t take your time on the iron shot and miss the green, you boggie or double boggie, see what I mean. A straight shot is very important. Now is the time for custom NOslice Clubs®. Custom clubs in many cases cost less than retail/factory build clubs; you’re going to golf a long time – make each shot count!

How many times has a golfing buddy said to you when you’re teeing off—go ahead and hit it - the guy ahead of you is standing in the center of the fairway! Your buddy knows your golf shot, left or right but never straight down the center. This inability to hit the ball straight is made up of your golf skills, improperly fit clubs, and mental attitude. You can eliminate the club problem with fitted clubs, which will contribute to your golf skills leading to an increase in confidence. Custom fitted clubs will not make a bad shot good, but they will make a good shot great (birdie time). As you increase the number of good shots, they will become great shots lowering your overall golf score and increasing your golf enjoyment. Who knows, you might cause your golf buddy to be quiet and wonder what you have changed!

Hitting a ball straight is an art form, it requires great club takeaway, tempo, and a number of timing factors. Correct club head rotation and positioning must take place in order to deliver the club head square to the ball at impact, causing a straight shot. With an incorrect shaft and club head, hitting the straight shot becomes nearly impossible. Even with a great swing the following could happen:

1. If the club is the incorrect length for the individual, the shot could be forced right or pulled left.
2. The shaft flex must be correct for the individual swing speed and tempo, or the club head will be delivered open or closed at impact.
3. The individual lie angle must be set on each club, based on the golfer’s physical needs or the ball will fly left or right, the club will not properly line up with the ball.
4. Swing and club weight are very important, without proper feel, the golfer will lunge at the ball, having no feel for the club causing anything but a straight shot.
5. If the grip is the improper size, the club could be gripped too tight or too loose, which could cause a shot problem.
6. An incorrect club head weight could cause the club toe to remain open, or close too fast.
7. An incorrect club face angle can cause a pull or slice.

I have seen so many times over the years golfers trying to use golf clubs that don’t fit. With each club they end up changing their golf swing. Think about how many different swings you have to have, one for each club! No wonder this is a hard game to play! Every day golfers ask me how can you fit clubs when my swing is different each time? That’s a great question!! Only my computer swing machine (I call Barney) can make a perfect swing each time, (considering it weighs over 500# it seems too heavy to carry on the golf course!!!). But there is an answer to the swing consistency question—each golfer does an amazingly good job of consistently making an inconsistent swing. Here’s what I mean. We are who we are - we talk a certain way, walk a certain way and swing a certain way. That certain swing has a high degree of reliability, and that is what we use for club fitting, not changing the swing, but fitting the clubs as close to the swing as possible. Now with that you must understand that only so much can be done with golf clubs, and it may be necessary for some swing coaching, so approach the straight hit golf ball with an open mind, but remember without properly fitted clubs, you have greatly reduced the chance of a straight drive and increased the difficulty of the game.

Irons

A great drive will not make a par or birdie, it requires great irons. Each iron must be set to the individual golfer’s physical needs, correcting length, lie, loft and feel. You must know how far each iron will carry - NOslice Clubs® offers club gauging and Caddie Cards® with individually printed club distances.

Wedges

The importance of wedges can not be over stated. You must have a short game in order to score well. Wedge design is a science in itself. Club length, lie, loft, and sole design (bottom of club head –bounce) all must fit the golfer. Having our own golf course allows you to try out and confirm your favorite wedge.

Sand wedges

Being in the sand can be a frightening experience; but it’s there and we must learn to play from it, in fact, use it! The sand wedge must contain all of the proper fitting factors above plus correct head design. At NOslice Clubs® we offer three different sand textures on our golf course and explain how each sand can affect your shot and why each sand has a special club head need.

Putters

Have you ever heard this; “ Drive for show, putt for dough”, it’s true! Play 18 holes and you probably used your driver 12 of 18 holes. The putter almost 18 to 50 times (approximately 42% of your total golf score), so which club is most important! At NOslice Clubs® we take putting very seriously, we have one of the few, if not only, computer putter launch monitors in the state! We just don’t bend putters, we fit them. Having machine capabilities with an Enco mill, we can alter the launch angle of the putter face depending on your putting launch angle. Almost all putter heads are made incorrectly having a launch angle between 4 and 6 degrees, bending the shaft changes the relationship of the eyes to putter face alignment and ball impact, it must be altered by machining not shaft bending. Most correct launch angles should be in the 0 to 2% range, what a difference it can make! See us for an exclusive putter fitting!

You are an individual, special and different in many ways it’s your golf game. With that in mind think for a minute, how could any major name club, retail/outlet golf clubs manufactured on an assembly line ever fit your needs? I know every store/web site is trying to convince you they can furnish custom clubs, its impossible. They are not properly equipped or committed to the time necessary to complete the custom fitting. Almost all retail personnel lack the training, experience, commitment, as well as, the capital investment in equipment. They are in business to sell golf clubs fast! Compare our shop equipment to theirs; do you see in their shop what you see in ours? Can, and do, they build to the same equipment standards as us, such as balancing, frequency matching all shafts, shaft analyzing equipment, and most important, do they have the golf course for hitting the clubs – not just a net.

Golf is not played hitting into a net, or on a driving range, it’s played on a golf course. If they do not have the course – we do. Golf shops sell golf clubs and tell you if you don’t like it to bring it back—so now you’re left to figure out what’s wrong once again by yourself - right back where you started.

An overview of the fitting process:

Custom clubs or fitted clubs as advertised by golf companies and retail/factory outlets are different. As an example, they may be longer or shorter or may contain different shaft flexes, but they are not professionally fit clubs with each club designed and constructed to your individuals needs. Retail stores lack the expertise, time necessary for club construction, as well as, having proper fitting equipment. They will concentrate on what’s on the shelf (they must sell their inventory) and what club is easiest to sell. Their job is to move inventory, so they sell what’s in the store and move on to the next customer.

A professional fitting at NOslice Clubs® includes:

1. An in depth customer interview focusing on your game, clubs, health issues, goals, current equipment, what you expect from the golf game, the questionnaire involves several pages of personalized information.
2. Your current club evaluation—focusing on club lie, loft, weight, swing weight, shaft weight, frequencies, grip size and club MOI. We must know what’s in your set in order to make any personal adjustments. This will allow us to make club recommendations to you.
3. The individual swing analysis will be conducted using the Golf Achiever and GolfTek launch monitor. Factors such as swing speed, tempo, wrist speed, launch angle, ball spin, side spin, ball flight accuracy, solid hit factor, face angle, club head path, ball speed, and shot distance are recorded.
4. After a complete fitting, an evaluation can be made to alter current clubs or recommend club replacing.
5. Any and all work will take place with the golfer knowing in advance the type of work needed, costs, and time factors.
6. Our clubs and alterations are made by the same person who did the custom fitting; he knows best what results he needs.

We are not a brand name golf store. We select from only the highest quality club components that relate to your swing needs. We do not inventory any components, there is no need to try and sell a club that’s in inventory or on the shelf. NOslice Club’s fitting process involves several different club lengths, styles, head and swing weights, and computer graphics to help explain what’s causing the golf ball flight direction.

Our NOslice fitting process contains five steps:

1. A complete player profile with each customer completing a questionnaire (remember there are no wrong answers). Information is collected on your current equipment in use, any health issues (completely confidential), and your game, goals, in other words, your wants and needs.
2. An evaluation of your current equipment would include shaft frequency, lie angle, swing weight, shaft weight, grip size, loft and MOI of club. In many instances after the fitting it becomes easy for you to realize why some of your golfing problems are caused by your clubs.
3. The swing evaluation is analyzed by two computers, an Achiever launch monitor and GolfTek 7 simulator. The computer measures and reports back and forward swing speeds, swing path, tempo, solid hit factor, face angle, face rotation, side spin, ball impact location on face, ball speed, and weight shift during the swing. NOslice Clubs® is one of the most experienced fitters in Eastern Wisconsin and the Fox Valley area.
4. Recommendations— NOslice Clubs® will recommend any equipment changes or alterations to present equipment needed to help improve your game.
5. All equipment will be built or altered by one of the most experienced club fitters in Eastern Wisconsin, no short cuts or substitutions of club components will be made, only the highest quality components are used. Our guarantee is our name; we will alter or adjust for you any club we build.
